MoU Steering Committee: The Electronic Election and SC Decisions
The Initial Signatories of the MoU: Multimedia Access to Education and Training in Europe have voted electronically on 2-11 February 1999. Out of a total of 376 who were eligible to vote and received a voting document, 201 Initial Signatories have cast their votes, each for a maximum of 20 candidates, on the basis of one vote each, as described in the MoU MoU Decision Making Procedures.
The MoU Initial Signatories have elected 21 members to the first MoU Steering Committee for the period 1999-2000.
Enter here to read the full results of the first MoU Steering Committee election.
There have been 177 originally nominated candidates and, after contemplation, these were the 114 final confirmed candidates who reached for the Steering Committee posts to be filled in the electronic election: MoU Steering Committee candidates. Linked to the candidate name, you will find her/his candidate statement. Each candidate has been given the opportunity to provide, for the voters to consider, a statement, describing her/his background in the MoU domain - and the goals and actions which she/he would especially wish to promote in the MoU cooperation.
These have been the Steering Committee observer member appointments.
The MoU Steering Committee has held its first meeting on 25 February 1999:
Dr Eddy Forte, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), has been elected Chair of the MoU Steering Committee.
Dr Miles Ellis, University of Oxford, has been elected Vice Chair.
