CONTENT OF EMIRE

The EMIRE Database is the online version of the EUROPEAN EMPLOYMENT &INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS GLOSSARIES, a set of 12 volumes published in English in co-operation with Sweet and Maxwell (UK) and the EUR-OP (Luxembourg).

It gives an introduction to the national employment law and industrial relations systems through clear explanations of specialist terms and their contexts.

These unique products are essential tools for employers and employees and their respresentatives, especially in the context of trans-national operations and the free movement of workers within administrations in understanding the legal structure and pattern of industrial relations systems in all Member States. Practitioners, journalists, translators, academics and students of law, economics, politics and sociology will find this series an invaluable aid in gaining a fuller appreciation of European employment and industrial relations practices.

Note : For the moment, EMIRE still is at an experimental stage.
